How is it already the end of August?

It feels like just yesterday we were waiting to finally open the cabrio roof, and now another summer is slowly coming to an end. And what a summer it was. Sold-out weekends, dancing until sunrise, countless familiar faces, plenty of new ones, and more unforgettable nights than we can count.

Before autumn officially takes over, we looked back at everything that happened over the past few months.

The moment Ötkert’s cabrio roof opened for the summer, there was no slowing down.The stars above us, music coming from the DJ booth and a dance floor filling up night after night. There’s something different about partying under the open sky on a warm summer night in the middle of Budapest. That’s exactly why we look forward to this season every year.

Thursdays set the tone with Guest List, while Fridays and Saturdays regularly saw the club packed from start to finish.

We kicked things off with a summer opening weekend to remember. The heat definitely showed up too, so we came prepared with fans to make those hot Budapest nights a little easier to handle.

This summer also had a serious Zara Larsson soundtrack, so naturally, we had to join the Midnight Sun craze and dedicate an entire party to it.

And we didn’t stop there. Throughout the season, we brought some of summer’s biggest moods and trends to Ötkert, with Midnight Sun Party, Euro Summer and Summer Isn’t Over Yet all making their way onto the dance floor.

Festival Season Came to Ötkert TooWe weren’t about to sit out festival season.During Sziget, FESTILOVE kept the party going for festival-goers in the heart of Budapest, and this year Ötkert also made it onto the official Sziget CityMap.

And of course, no summer would be complete without our August 20th afterparty. This year, the national holiday happened to fall on a Thursday, which meant there was only one logical thing to do after the fireworks: head straight to Ötkert and keep the night going until sunrise.

The Weekend When Budapest Caught F1 Fever

If we had to pick one weekend that stood out this summer, F1 would definitely be on the list.During the Hungarian Grand Prix, the action may have started at the Hungaroring during the day, but after dark, Budapest took over.

We lined up three consecutive nights for the occasion. Thursday kicked things off with Guest List – Redline by Heineken, Friday brought the Race Party, and Saturday’s Grand Prix Party closed the weekend in full throttle.

House, mainstream and club favourites, extra bottle service shows, Belvedere and Moët & Chandon.We’re not saying we were competing with the Hungaroring, but the revs were pretty high at Ötkert too.

And then there are the classics that simply refuse to go out of style. We’re not complaining.Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys were just some of the names keeping the 2000s alive. If hearing those songs still makes your heart beat a little faster, chances are you were part of the throwback crew at our Saturday Timeless Hits parties.

Birthdays, bachelorette parties, nights out with friends, Budapest weekends and completely spontaneous plans followed one another all summer long.Some of you booked your VIP tables weeks in advance. Others headed out planning to have just one drink somewhere and somehow found themselves still dancing with us at 4 AM.We know the story. We’ve seen it happen more than a few times. And we loved every minute of it.

The cabrio roof can be open, the DJ can be behind the decks, the cocktails can keep coming and the music can play until sunrise. But the nights that really matter are still made by you.

Those of you who come back almost every weekend. Those who walked through our doors for the very first time. Those who call Budapest home and those who were only here for a few days. Those who planned the whole night weeks ahead and those who somehow ended up on Zrínyi Street without ever meaning to.
